Introduction

Hello, I’m Tinglu Yang — welcome to my little corner of the internet!

In the past few years, I worked tirelessly (and joyfully) toward becoming a paleontologist while studying at the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). That journey eventually led me to my current role as a full-time lecturer at East China University of Technology, where I now get to share my enthusiasm for ancient life with students who may or may not have expected so many bivalves in their curriculum.

My research interests revolve around the taxonomy and community structure of bivalves during the Permian–Triassic Mass Extinction interval (~250 Ma). Yes, I spend a lot of time thinking about clams that lived before dinosaurs.

I’m fortunate to work with an amazing and inspiring team of colleagues who make science feel like both an adventure and a privilege.

For more details about my work, feel free to scroll on — the fossils are waiting!
